WALK WITH THE DRAGON 2011
On the morning of Sunday July 17th, leading by President Elsa Wong, the Canada Asia Pacific Business Association (CAPBA) assembled close to one hundred members to show the association’s support of the event “Walk with the Dragon” hosted by S.U.C.C.E.S.S Foundation held annually at the Lumbermen’s Arch in Stanley Park.
That morning, the President of CAPBA along with the board of directors and members gathered at Stanley Park with a uplifting spirit await for the signal of commence. At 9am, after the representatives from all three levels of government and the sponsor delegates completed the opening ceremony, all members of CAPBA began to take the first step and followed the wave of people dressed in their specific colorful uniform representing their own organization.
Although Sunday morning was overcast, in the mild breeze that was brought along it, the members of CAPBA were very relaxed and comfortably enjoying every step they took along the attractive background of Stanley Park.
According to President Wong, “This is the sixth year that our association has joined ‘Walk with the Dragon.’ CAPBA always hold the vision of giving back to the community and to encourage our members to develop a conscious towards the welfare of our society as well as contribute to all meaningful charitable organizations. We like to thank S.U.C.C.E.S.S and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation, and all their volunteers whom have worked hard to provide this multicultural platform, so that our members and the Chinese community can take in the generosity of the citizens of this beautiful country.”
Canada Asia Pacific Business Association, with the goal to contribute back to society compassionately and sincerely, will continue to be involved and participate in various charity events in our community similar to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. “Walk with the Dragon”.
